We may have to spend a lot of time at home, so I came up with a few activities that can be done without leaving the house, inspired by the hashtag #quédateencasa, which is currently being used in Spain. Reading comprehension, vocabulary and a writing at the end to say what your plans are for the next few weeks using different expressions.

Whole lesson on the context of Spain’s transition to democracy, explaining both the roles of the King Juan Carlos I and Adolfo Suárez, but focusing on Suárez. Authentic materials have been used for listening tasks and adapted for reading comprehension questions. There is a speaking at the end taken from the Edexcel exam in 2018.

KS4 (Year 9 - Year 11 low ability) lesson to practise vocabulary on free time activities. To make it a bit more current, I included pictures of Greta Thunberg doing different activities in her free time and this is how the vocabulary is introduced. All answers included.

My own version of an idea I saw on Twitter: a ladder reflecting elements needed for grades. It starts with an easy present tense sentence and finishes with a sentence which includes an indirect object pronoun. This resource can be used at the start of a lesson, to test how much students know on a particular subject or can be given as homework for students to work independently.
